-April 6, 2006, Ensemble and Orchestra participated at the event «Day of Sarajevo City»

 

- With a concert in «Seljo» premises at April 24, 2006, «Days of Centar Sarajevo Municipality» has started. Concert performed Academic Ensemble of Traditional Dances and Songs, Traditional Orchestra «Bentbasha», Dance Studio «Elenes» and Vocal Ensemble «Prijatelji» as wel as Rasim Colic soloist.singer.

 

- Within the same event, at April 28, 2006 Painting studio «Seljo» has exposed their art works egzhibition in Centar for  culture «Jelića».

 

- At May 5, 2006, Academic Ensemble of Traditional Dances and Songs and Traditional Orchestra «Bentbasha», participated at event «Kanton Sarajevo Days» organized in Ilijas.

 

- May 12, 2006, Female Vocal Ensemble «Corona» participated in Prijedor at VI regional choir festival in Prijedor together with host choirs «Vila» and «Dr. Mladen Stojanović» including other guest choir participants from Macedonia, SiCG, Croatia and Slovenia.

 

 

- May 14, 2006, Dance Studio Elenes' dancers, participated in after-noon program at Hayat Television

 

-  June 12, 2006, In «Seljo» premises was organized first costume rehaersal – premiere of the new choreography of Kemal Borovac, author «Sephardic motives from the old Sarajevo». At the event attends story tellers from Sarajevo Jewish Municipality and Jewish Community BiH, mayor of the Stari Grad Municipality, cantonal minister of culture and sport and his deputy, representatives of the Music production JS RTV BiH, «Seljo» managament members, former and present Seljo' members, as well as Dunja Rihtman-Šotrić, ethnomusicologist as author of vocal material for the choreography, associate for vocal rehaersal in «Seljo» and Ljiljana Beljkašić-Hadžidedić, ethnologyst, associate for traditional costume reconstruction in «Seljo». This is the first time in BiH and in the region that original sephardic Jewish tradition is prepared for scene. Choreography were preformed by 12 dancers/singers and 11 orchestra members. Musical arrangemet author is Nermin Drakovac, orchestra artistic leader. After performance, cocktail-party were organized for guests.

 

- June 16, 2006, With this new choreography in Cantonal review of folklor arts in Vogošća, «Seljo» and author Kemal Borovac received special award from artistic jury. «Seljo» also performed «Old Bosnian silent dance form Glamoč surrounding» from author Milivoje Đurović.

 

- June 20, 2006, Ensemble and Orchestra performed part of their repertoire program for the foreign guests in exclusive restaurant in Sarajevo «Park prinčeva»

 

- June 23 – June 25, 2006, Ensemble and Orchestra represents BiH at 6th International folklore festival C.I.O.F.F. in Velika Gorica, Croatia. Orchestra received award for instrumental performance of the choreography «Sephardic motives from the old Sarajevo». Among 9 enesembles from 7 countries festival participants. After festival we visited Zagreb.

 

- July 1, 2006, Ensemble and Orchestra represents AKCUS «Seljo»at the 2nd special ceremony of the promotion graduated bachelors, masters and doctorals of the University of Sarajevo with choreography «Sephardic motives from the old Sarajevo». Ceremony was attend in sport hall «Mirza Delibašić» KSC Skenderija in Sarajevo, about 8000 people were in public.

 

- July 1, 2006, solo singers in Vocal group of traditional music Jasminka Borovac and Vildana Ajrulahi, performed two old bosnian city songs at the opening ceremony of early painting works of the ULUBiH members, in Hanikach of the Kuršumli medresa in Sarajevo, as a first progeram of this season  «Baščaršijske noći» festival.

 

- July 5, 2006, Female vocal ensemble «Corona» participated at Choir review within «Baščaršijske noći» festival.

 

- Academic theater «ART Club» at July 15, in Center for culture «Jelića» premierly performed new theater performance  «How the ugly words became»  author Duško Radović, directed by Hasan Zahirović. Performance is adapted to younger public and children with special necesities and its based at drama story, dance and singing. 

 

- July 17, 2006, Ensemble and orchestra performed awarded choreography «Sephardic motives from the old Sarajevo» at the opening ceremony of the 9th International folklore festival Sarajevo 2006, which is attend within «Baščaršijske noći» festival. About 1500 people were in public.

 

- In «Seljo» premises at July 17, we organized joint party with members of the friendly enesmble «Kočo Racin» from Skopje, than at July 19, with members of the ensemble KIC «Budo Tomović» from Podgorica.

 

- July 22, 2006, «Seljo» attend artistic night concert within «Baščaršijske noći» festival with about 2500 people in public. All Seljo' ensembles and sections participated wuth their special program; Academic ensemble of traditional dances and songs «Seljo», Traditional orshestra «Bentbaša», Dance studio «Elenes», Traditional music vocal group «Seljo», Female vocal ensemble «Corona», Male vocal ensemble «Prijatelji», Painting arts studio «Seljo» and Academic theater 2ART Club». After successfull concert, in «Seljo» premises were organized cocktail and after-party for participants, guests, and former members.      

 

- July 22 – August 8, 2006, Ensemble and orchestra will participate at 16th international folklore festival within «43 Bielsko-Biala weeks of culture and in Beszkidzkiey, in Poland.
